此次ONI大石先生所使用的布料為繩染的天然靛藍染紗線，全日本精通繩染技術的廠家不到四間，其中據知僅有一間可以使用天然靛藍染製作繩染工藝，其製作機具費用高昂，成品的紗線原料格外罕見，不僅如此，不同於一般布料只會使用一種紗線粗細，這次使用了「異番手」，也就是不同號數的紗線混和在一起，接著使用老式梭織機進行紡織，以布料本身而言，它可能是近期我們見過最好的日本布之一。
